According to recent data from Zapmap, the number of EV charging points in the UK has surpassed a significant milestone. As of now, there are over 50,000 electric vehicle charging points across the country. This achievement comes just seven months after reaching 40,000 charging points, showing a steady growth in the charging infrastructure.

Zapmap’s quarterly statistics showed that the number of ultra-rapid charge points in the UK increased by 68% since September 2022, with the number of slow chargers increasing by almost 68% as well.

Zapmap’s analysis also suggests that the United Kingdom is expected to have around 100,000 charging devices by August 2025, based on the current installation rate.

The growing accessibility of charging points can significantly alleviate range anxiety for electric vehicle (EV) owners. With an increasing number of charging stations available, EV owners can enjoy enhanced convenience and peace of mind while traveling both long distances and within urban areas, making electric vehicles a more viable and practical option for transportation.
