Bath’s Clean Air Zone: exemption period to expire in March

Do you have an exemption to drive within Bath’s Clean Air Zone? On 15 March 2023, the following exemptions will expire:

  • Wheelchair accessible taxis and private hire vehicles
  • Community transport
  • Blue Badge holders
  • Community health, education or social care workers
  • Exemptions under the terms of the Financial Assistance scheme (declined finance)

Vehicles which were previously exempt from charges under these exemptions will need to pay the daily charge to drive within the zone on and after 15 March 2023.

The daily charge for minibuses, LCVs, private hire vehicles and taxis is £9 and £100 for trucks, lorries, busses and coaches. More information can be found here.

The CAZ covers the city centre of Bath. You can view a map of Bath’s CAZ, or you can also check if a postcode is inside the zone.

Daily charge is paid by vehicles which don’t meet the emission standards. To find out if you need to pay to drive in a CAZ, or if you would like to pay a charge for a vehicle or multiple vehicles, follow the link: Drive in a clean air zone
