KINTO announce Rowans Hospice as a local corporate charity for 2023

KINTO announce Rowans Hospice as a local corporate charity for 2023. Rowans Hospice provide palliative and end of life care to the highest quality for those living with a life-limiting illness in Portsmouth and the Southeast of Hampshire. The charity helps to improve the quality of life for the patient by easing physical symptoms as well as offering psychological, spiritual and social support to both patients and their loved ones.

Rowans Hospice was chosen by the employees at KINTO as a corporate local charity in 2022. To support the charity, KINTO have been organising different initiative such as bake sales, donation drives, raffles, etc. A team of 28 employees have also abseiled down the Spinnaker Tower, raising over £6650.

KINTO and Rowans Hospice also work together on organising volunteering days for KINTO employees to help support the charity with gardening and processing donations. Each permanent KINTO employee is allowed to take two days per year to volunteer.

Selina Fielon who helped with gardening in 2022 said: “I had a great day giving back to the community. I feel good that we are making a difference. I also didn’t realise how much the volunteers do, so it was lovely to support them. More people should do this!”

Tom Kindler who used both of his volunteering days to support Rowans Hospice last year added: “I had a very interesting few days seeing all the hard work the team put in behind the scenes keeping the shops well stocked. Thank you for having me, Rowans!”

KINTO aims to raise £12000 for charity in 2023, a target which will be split between Rowans Hospice and KINTO’s national corporate charity.
