Clean Air Zone

On 28 November 2022, Bristol is introducing a clean air zone (CAZ) to meet the legal limits for pollution set by the UK government.

All vehicles can still enter the CAZ, however, vehicles which don’t meet the emission standards have to pay a daily charge.

The daily charge which non-compliant vehicles need to pay is: 

Private petrol cars – £9 daily charge

Private diesel cars – £9 daily charge

Taxis – £9 daily charge

Light goods vehicles (under 3.5t.) – £9 daily charge

Heavy goods vehicles (over 3.5t.) – £100 daily charge

Buses – £100 daily charge

Coaches – £100 daily charge

 

The CAZ charges will apply 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
